Suburbs of Saint-Petersburg.

Suburbs of the City. I hope that you know the meaning of Strel’na, Peterhof, Oranienbaum, Pushkin (Tsarskoe selo), Pavlovsk, Gatchina, Kronshtadt.
How to get to?
Strel’na – tram 36 from metro station Avtovo. You will see one of the most beautiful metro stations, after that tram voyage (about 30 minutes) through Stalin’s age and soviet districts, passed by Gulf of Finland and finish in vicinity of Congress Palace (Konstantinovsky Palace).
Advice: ask about possibility to visit palace before departure. When president or somebody as cool as him there, it is closed for visitors. Only guided excursion inside. No free admittance.
Peterhof – three way to there. Bus (from metro station Avtovo or Baltiysky train station – “Baltiyskaya” metro station), train from Baltiysky train station and speedcraft calls “meteor” from Hermitage embankment in the centre of the city.
Cheapest is the train, speedcraft is the most expensive; bus may be slow, due to traffic jam. So, you have a choice.
Warning. You cannot buy tickets on board the train. Do not use small bus (look higher).
Oranienbaum - train from Baltiysky train station.
Pushkin, Pavlovsk - Bus from metro station “Moskovskaya”. Train from “Vitebsky” train station (“Pushkinskaya” metro station).
Gatchina - Bus from metro station “Moskovskaya”, train from Baltiysky train station.
Kronshtadt – bus from “Prospect prosvescheniya” metro station, speedcraft from “Vasilievsky Island” and small ferry from Lomonosov (see Oranienbaum). You well be surprised that this speedcraft will be as cheap as train because for this route it is a kind of city transport.
